Laura Nicholas has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Laura is currently the Managing Director at Goals Talent Ltd, a position they have held since May 2022. Prior to this, they worked as an Interim Lead Talent Acquisition Manager at Ryff, an AI ML scale-up company. Laura also held the position of Interim Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist at Mediafly. In 2022, Laura worked as an Interim Talent Acquisition Manager at FORMEL Skin. Laura owned and operated the business from July 2008 to September 2018. Prior to that, they also owned a freelance makeup artist/hairstylist business from July 2007 to January 2018.

Laura's earliest professional experience in the beauty industry includes working as a Makeup Artist at SpaceNK from April 2015 to May 2016.

Laura Nicholas has a diverse education history. In 2005, they attended Cambridge Regional College and obtained an NVQ Level 2 in beauty therapy. In the following year, they enrolled at New York City Nails for Ciate product training and manicure training. In 2006, Laura pursued a City and Guilds ABC Level 2 Diploma in hair and media makeup at Cambridge Education Group. Additionally, they attended MUA SFX for a course on the art of flat moulds.

Laura continued to expand their skill set in various areas. In 2014, they completed an airbrush course using Air Based at Air Based Airbrush. In 2015, they attended Titanic Creative Management Studio for a sculpting course and an expert moulding course. The same year, Laura obtained a Level 3 Award in Education and Training from Cambridge Education Group. Laura also pursued a Level 3 Award in Education and Training at Cambridge Regional College in 2017.

Furthermore, Laura explored the field of hair extensions and design. In 2017, they received education on the art of extension using cold fusion systems and professional bonded systems at Balmin and Balmin Hair, respectively. Laura also acquired skills in Mylash lash extensions at Ellisons in the same year.

Lastly, Laura engaged in professional development relating to education and training. In 2018, they completed an Elearning Resources for Assessors program at Cambridge Regional College. Moreover, they acquired certifications related to tech recruiting foundations, including Introduction, Recruiting Software Developers, Waterfall, Agile, and DevOps for Recruiters, and Recruiting for Blockchain, obtained from LinkedIn in 2022.
