Bin Xiao

Lead Electronics Engineer at RYSE

Bin Xiao has worked as an Electronics/Hardware Engineer for Optima Telecom, Inc. since 2016. During their time there, they simulated circuits, did part selection, laid out Modbus modules, and drew schematics for POE modules. Bin also developed Linux Device Drivers for Marvell switches. Prior to this, Bin Xiao worked at Haier Smart Home Beijing Innovation Center as an Electronics/Firmware Engineer from 2014-2016. During this time, they designed electronics circuits, programmed drivers and calibration code, and reduced BOM costs by optimizing electronics and assembly design of Haier Airbox II. From 2012-2014, Bin Xiao worked as an Electronics/Embedded Software Engineer at SINDIA Instruments Co., Ltd. During this time, they designed circuits for GAS sensors, filters, amplifiers, ADCs, float-point micro-processors, flowmeters, and thermometers. Bin also increased sales by optimizing accuracy and response time of Gas Analyzers and reduced maintenance costs by initiating parallel configurations and fiber-downloads. Finally, from 2006-2012, Bin Xiao worked as an Electronics/Firmware Engineer at the National Laboratory of Pattern Recognition, Chinese Academy of Sciences. During this time, they designed Iris-Recognition devices from conception to full-scale production and achieved the biggest market share in China. Bin also designed circuits for DM642, MPC8313, S3C2410, CCD/CMOS sensors, image acquisition, 100M Ethernet, TFT LCD, audio, DDR2, NAND/FRAM Flash, and more. Bin transplanted Linux on S3C2410 and MPC8313, and coded Linux drivers for DM9000, UDA1341, RTL8139, I2C, and GPIO. Bin also programmed a framework in DM642 for BIOS, image acquisition, storage scheme, time slice scheduling, peripheral drivers, and algorithms. Currently, Bin Xiao is a Lead Electronics Engineer at RYSE, where they have designed SmartShade, SmartCurtain, BatteryPack, SmartBridge, BLE module, Network module, and other electronics. Three successful products are on the market, two modules are in mass production, and one is under development. Bin'sresponsibilities include leading electronics design of consumer electronics, such as prototyping, schematics, PCB layout, part selection, cost budget, and manufacture/testing support.

Bin Xiao received their Master's Degree in Electric Circuit and Systems from Beihang University in 2007 and their Bachelor's Degree in Electronics and Information Engineering from Beihang University in 2004.
