David Dück

David D. has a diverse work experience in the field of technology, particularly focused on CMS platforms like Sitecore and Ektron. David started their career in 2006 as an ASP.NET Developer at DelaGet, LCC, where they worked on building new ASP.NET pages and converting classic ASP pages to .NET.

In 2008, David joined Priority Integrated Marketing as an ASP.NET/CMS Developer, where they built a custom admin system for a website and worked extensively with Sitefinity CMS, building custom controls and modules. David developed eight websites on Sitefinity CMS and won the MN Show Award for one of them.

David then moved to Horizontal Integration, where they worked as a Senior Developer/Sitecore Architect from 2008 to 2010. David was involved in over 20 Sitecore projects, specializing in data template architecture and development. Their responsibilities included AD integration, building websites programmatically, creating custom data importers, and optimizing Sitecore installations.

From 2010 to 2011, David worked as a Consultant at COMSYS, where they focused on Ektron CMS. David developed custom applications for clients using the Ektron API in .NET, worked on .NET customizations to existing Ektron websites, and developed Ektron widgets and controls.

David then joined ICF Ironworks as a Senior Consultant from 2011 to 2013. David primarily worked as a Sitecore architect and provided estimation, development, consultation, and design of integration projects involving Sitecore. David also trained internal developers and architects on Sitecore.

In 2013, David joined Sitecore as a Technical Architect and Instructor. David ran training classes, worked on internal Sitecore projects, and developed new modules for Sitecore.

After leaving Sitecore in 2014, David rejoined NTT DATA Americas as a Freelancer, where they provided expert Sitecore architecture and development experience on a mission critical project. David established best practices for new development efforts and trained other developers and architects on Sitecore.

David took a intentional career break as a Freelancer in 2015 before rejoining NTT DATA Americas as a Solution Architect from 2015 to 2016.

Most recently, David is working at The Toro Company since 2017, utilizing their vast Sitecore experience to help Toro adhere to Sitecore and WCMS best practices.

David D. completed their education in the field of Computer Science. David obtained an Associate of Science (AS) degree in Computer Science from Normandale Community College from 2001 to 2003. Following that, they pursued their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota from 2003 to 2005.

In addition to their formal education, David D. has obtained various certifications related to their field.
