Dong Tran

Dong Tran is the Founder/CEO of Ryvid Inc., an emerging player in the electric mobile-sport industry. Dong started the company in January 2020 and is dedicated to promoting the accessibility and enjoyment of electric micro-mobility. Prior to Ryvid, Dong was the Head of Design at Stealth EVTOL, where they contributed to the conceptual design phase and built the engineering flying prototype. Dong was also the Founder of Whiterok Inc., a design/engineering consultancy helping established companies and start-ups with product strategic, industrial design, and engineering/concept prototyping services. Dong has a background in design, having worked as an Independent Design Consultant at ICON Aircraft, a Partner/Design at Innovate Creative Group, and a Lead Designer at ICON Aircraft. Dong began their design career as an Exterior Designer at Honda Advanced and Toyota - Tokyo Design Laboratory before working as a Design Intern at BMW Group DesignworksUSA.

Dong Tran earned a Bachelor's Degree in Automotive/transportation design from the College for Creative Studies, where they studied from 2005 to 2009.
