Tyson Cobb

Tyson Cobb is an experienced professional with a strong background in hardware engineering, mechanical design, and product development. Tyson currently holds the position of Director of Hardware Engineering at Ryvid Inc. Since joining this company in February 2023, Tyson has played a key role in overseeing the development and implementation of hardware projects.

Prior to this, Tyson worked as a Lead R&D Engineer at Proteus Motion from November 2021 to February 2023. In this position, they contributed to research and development activities, leading important projects within the organization.

Before joining Proteus Motion, Tyson served as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at OxeFit from January 2020 to September 2021. Here, they utilized their expertise in mechanical engineering to support the development of innovative fitness products.

Tyson's career began at IHMC in December 2015, where they worked as a Research Associate. During their time at IHMC, Tyson focused on designing and engineering robotic lower limb exoskeletons and other robotic projects. Between March 2014 and November 2015, Tyson gained valuable experience as a Product Development Engineer at Applied Medical. In this role, they were responsible for designing and prototyping laparoscopic surgical equipment, utilizing various manufacturing processes.

Tyson's early career began at .decimal, Inc. in May 2011, where they worked as a Jr. Product Development Engineer. During this time, they played a crucial role in designing and testing radiation therapy apertures, as well as collaborating with contract manufacturers for design and manufacturing purposes.

Tyson Cobb completed their Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Central Florida, from 2008 to 2013. Tyson Cobb has also obtained a certification in Basic Training in Calypso CMM software from Carl Zeiss Metrology.
