Andy Beer is an experienced professional in zoo management and nutrition, currently serving as the Director of Zoo Management Studies at Sparsholt College Hampshire since March 2014. In this role, Andy oversees the development and delivery of the Diploma in the Management of Zoo and Aquarium Animals (DMZAA), a recognized CPD program for zookeepers and aquarists in the UK and Ireland. Concurrently, since September 2009, Andy has held the position of Zoo Nutritionist at the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland, focusing on dietary assessments and nutrition research, particularly for Giant Pandas. Earlier in the career at Sparsholt College from 1982 to February 2014, Andy was a Senior Practitioner. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science (BSc) Honours degree in Agriculture from Wye College, University of London.
