Phillip Mathis

Phillip Mathis currently serves as the Learning Manager at The Royal Zoological Society of Scotland, a position held since January 2023. Prior to this, significant roles included Acting Head Teacher, Deputy Head Teacher, Principal Teacher, and Class Teacher at Clackmannanshire Council from July 2014 to December 2022, as well as a Summer School Teacher at The Royal Zoological Society of Scotland in July 2014. Additional experience includes teaching at East Renfrewshire Council and earlier at The Royal Zoological Society of Scotland during summer sessions in 2013. Phillip's education encompasses a Master of Science in Professional Education and Leadership from the University of Stirling, a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (Primary) and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Biosciences with Environmental Science from the University of the West of Scotland, a Higher National Diploma in Zoological Conservation Management from the University of Plymouth, and a National Diploma in Animal Care from Sparsholt College Group.
