Christofer Åkerström

Christofer Åkerström is an experienced project manager and engineering leader with a diverse background spanning multiple sectors, including automotive, telecommunications, and consulting. Currently serving as a Senior Project Manager and Acting Head of Program and Bid Office at Saab since September 2025, Åkerström previously held the role of Regional Director at Algorithma, overseeing operations and strategic development. Prior experience includes positions at ECARX as Director and SW Engineering Manager, where the focus was on in-vehicle software applications, and at Syntronic as Site Manager, emphasizing talent development and operational success. Several roles at Volvo Cars involved leadership in digitalization efforts and product management within Digital Platform Products, as well as responsibilities across IT contract management and data leadership. His earlier career includes project management positions at Capgemini, ÅF Reinertsen, Ericsson AB, and ÅF AB, along with a foundational production engineering role at Atlet AB.
