Fredrik Wising

Fredrik Wising currently serves as the Head of Research and Technology for Business Area Surveillance at Saab AB, a position held since January 2012, where responsibilities include directing research and technology initiatives, portfolio management, and business development for new products. Previously, Wising was the Strategic Portfolio Manager at Saab AB, overseeing product portfolio planning and technology provisioning. Between 1997 and 2011, Wising held managerial roles in the Systems and Microwave and Antennas departments, focusing on systems design of radar products, project management, and staff development. Early career experience includes a Research Assistant role at Chalmers University of Technology and a Visiting Scientist position at MIT, both centered on nuclear fusion research. Wising holds a PhD in Electromagnetics/Nuclear Plasma Fusion and an MSc in Engineering Physics from Chalmers University of Technology.
