Mats Abrahamsson is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in design and engineering management within the defense sector. Currently serving as the Head of Design at Saab Kockums AB since May 2021, Mats previously held significant roles at Floatel International AB, including Technical Manager and Engineering Manager from November 2013 to May 2021. Earlier in his career, Mats was a Program Manager for the A26 submarine project at FMV, overseeing the development and procurement for the Swedish Navy, and served as Deputy Program Manager and Chief Designer for the same project. Mats holds multiple degrees in Marine Engineering and Naval Architecture from Chalmers University of Technology, as well as advanced military education from Försvarshögskolan and Marinens Krigshögskola, complemented by an executive management program from the Stockholm School of Economics.
