Michael Höglund

Michael Höglund has extensive experience in various leadership roles at Saab, a global defense company. Michael has held positions such as Vice President and Head of Business Units, including Ground Combat and Barracuda. Michael has also been responsible for marketing and sales of missile systems, after-sales services, and business development. Additionally, they have served as a Board Member and Chair of the Board of Directors in various companies, including Saab Bofors Dynamics Switzerland Ltd., Saab Barracuda AB, Barracuda Camouflage Private Limited, Protaurius AB, Saab Technologies Norway A/S, and Saab Danmark A/S. Before joining Saab, Höglund held managerial positions at AerotechTelub and Enator, specializing in communications and radio technologies. Overall, they have a strong background in the defense and security industry, with expertise in strategy, marketing, sales, and business growth.

Michael Höglund has a diverse education history that includes a variety of executive management programs and leadership courses. In 2023, they attended IMD and completed the Advanced Management Program. In 2013, they studied Strategic Negotiations at Harvard Business School. In 2012, they took a course in Leadership for Senior Executives at Harvard Business School. The following year, in 2011, they focused on Aligning Strategy and Sales at Harvard Business School. In 2007, they undertook Executive Leadership at the Swedish Defence University. In 2000-2001, they attended the Stockholm School of Economics for an Executive Management Program. In 1999, they studied Business Administration at Företagsuniversitetet, and in 1998, they completed the General Management Program at Enator. Prior to these programs, they served in the Swedish Airforce F16 and attained the rank of Plutonbefäl. In 1986-1990, they studied and obtained an Engineer degree with a specialization in Telecom from Vasa Gymnasium in Stockholm.
