Michael Witte

Michael Witte is an accomplished aviation professional with extensive experience in flight operations and safety management. Currently serving as Director of Flight Operations & Pilot at Saab since June 2017, Michael supports operational and strategic management while overseeing safe and efficient flight operations. Prior roles include Flight Ops Inspector at Transportstyrelsen, where supervision of national air carriers was key, and various managerial positions at Saab, including Pilot & Safety Manager and Pilot & Crew Training Manager. Michael's earlier career included piloting positions at Norwegian Air Shuttle, Swedline Express, and an engineering role at Saab, focusing on flight management and avionics systems. Academically, Michael holds an Airline Transport Pilot degree from Lid Air and a Bachelor of Engineering in Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering Technology from the Scandinavian Academy of Aeronautics, complemented by various training courses from prestigious organizations, including the University of Kansas.
