Obakeng Phiri has extensive experience in the audio and broadcasting industry, beginning as a DJ for TNG FM in 2003. Following this, a role as a Sound Engineer (Runner) at Lazer Corp in 2007 involved sound and stage setup, lighting operations, and video operations. From 2009 to 2010, Obakeng held the position of Sound Engineer at the South African State Theatre, managing studio operations and live sound for various events. Since 2011, Obakeng has worked as an Archivist for Sound Restoration at SABC, focusing on restoring and preserving old broadcast materials and editing audio for multiple radio stations.
