Salma Patel is an accomplished Executive Producer of Lotus News and Current Affairs (Newsbreak) and serves as the SABC News Editor at SABC. With a career that began as a Senior Producer/Presenter at Newsbreak-SABC News from 2007 to 2009, Salma went on to work as an Executive Producer at Lotus FM from 2009 to 2011. Since 2011, Salma has led a team of journalists at SABC, receiving multiple prestigious awards for excellence in news presentation and journalism. Salma is currently pursuing a BTech in Journalism from Durban University of Technology.
