Ioan MacRae

Chief Revenue Officer (cro) at Sabio

Ioan MacRae has over 20 years of experience in various leadership roles in the technology industry. Their most recent role was as the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) at Sabio, a position they started in July 2023. Prior to that, they worked as an Executive at T.B.C from April 2023 to July 2023. From October 2019 to April 2023, MacRae served as the CEO of Maintel, where they helped customers in both public and private sectors improve their business through digital transformation.

Before joining Maintel, MacRae held multiple roles at Avaya, including Managing Director - United Kingdom and Ireland from October 2018 to September 2019, Managing Director - United Kingdom from February 2017 to October 2018, Director - Mid-Market - Avaya International from May 2016 to February 2017, and EU Mid Market Director from March 2014 to May 2016. In these positions, they were responsible for various business segments and the GTM strategy for Avaya International.

Prior to their time at Avaya, MacRae worked as the General Manager - UK, Ireland and Greece at Westcon Convergence from May 2012 to March 2014, where they were responsible for the business and revenue growth in these regions. Ioan also served as the Managing Director - MEA at Enghouse Global from April 2010 to December 2011, where they established and managed the Middle East and Africa office for the Enghouse Interactive Management Division.

MacRae began their career at Mettoni FZE in 1999, where they held various roles such as Managing Director and Sales and Marketing Director. Ioan was responsible for the establishment of the Middle East and Africa Regional Office for Mettoni Ltd and led the Global Sales and Marketing Team. Ioan also worked as the Regional Sales Director and Channel Director at Datapulse, where they managed sales teams and developed strong partnerships with BT.

Prior to their career in the technology industry, MacRae served as the General Manager at ThunderBowl from July 1997 to August 1999.

Ioan MacRae completed their secondary education at The Oratory School from 1986 to 1991. Following that, they attended Southampton University from 1993 to 1996, where they obtained a BA Hons degree in Business Management.
