Dan Hendrycks is a prominent leader in AI safety, currently serving as the Executive Director of the Center for AI Safety since January 2023. Hendrycks has a diverse background in research, having previously completed a Research Internship at DeepMind, focusing on robustness and uncertainty, and engaging in ML safety research at the Toyota Technological Institute at Chicago under Kevin Gimpel. Additional research roles include an internship at Oregon State University with Thomas Dietterich and a summer fellowship at GiveWell.
