Steven Willmott

Steven Willmott is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in artificial intelligence, product development, and API management. Currently serving as the CEO of Safe Intelligence, Willmott oversees various operations focused on AI model analysis and testing. As a Venture Partner at Piton Capital, Willmott specializes in network effect businesses across multiple sectors including AI and SaaS. Prior roles include co-founding Timewarp Inc, where innovative AI integration in game development was achieved, and serving as Senior Director at Red Hat, where significant revenue growth was accomplished. Willmott also co-founded 3scale, leading it to become a prominent player in API management, while early academic positions included research leadership at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya and postdoctoral research at École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne. Willmott holds a PhD in Artificial Intelligence from EPFL, and advanced degrees from The University of Edinburgh and University of Warwick.
