Laura Ballay

Laura Ballay is a design and research leader with extensive experience in user experience and human-centered design. They served as Director for both the Masters of Human-Computer Interaction at Carnegie Mellon University and as an Adjunct Faculty member at The University of British Columbia, where they contributed to academia between 2018 and 2022. Currently, Laura is the Director of Product Design at Safe Software, having been a Principal Design Manager at Microsoft prior. They hold a BA in English from the University of Washington and a Master's in Interaction Design from Carnegie Mellon University.
