At Safe2Go Driver Rehab, we specialise in trauma-informed driver rehabilitation for individuals recovering from an MVA. Many of our clients experience PTSD, anxiety, or psychosocial barriers that impact their driving functionality and capacity. Most are referred through the CTP scheme, following complex trauma presentations requiring sensitive, structured intervention.

We are not a driving school. Our team provides clinical, graded driving rehabilitation tailored to individuals whose recovery requires more than basic driving instruction. Our clients are often in a vulnerable state—many have not driven in months or years—and require the right therapeutic approach to rebuild trust in themselves and the road.

Working collaboratively with OTs, RDTs, rehab consultants, and insurers, we deliver programs designed to support both psychological recovery and practical driving skills. Our goal is to help clients regain their independence through safe, respectful, and functional progression—restoring not just mobility, but a sense of control, self-efficacy, and dignity.

We apply a bottom-up, trauma-informed framework—starting wherever the client feels safe (e.g., sitting in the driver’s seat without movement), and building capacity step by step through individualised exposure. Each session aligns with clinical recommendations and adapts to the client’s evolving needs.

Our unmarked vehicles provide added privacy, and sessions are delivered with empathy and expert coordination. Our services include:

OT driver assessments (off-road and on-road)

Graded driver rehab sessions

Licence upgrade prep and return-to-driving plans

Ergonomic driving support (e.g., post-surgery, physical injury)

Psychosocial and functional progress reports for CTP stakeholders

We also provide reports aligned with TfNSW licensing requirements, including DSDA and OT documentation, supporting timely approvals and safe licence reinstatement.
