Brian Loomis has worked in a variety of roles since 1998. From 1998 to 1999, they were a Network Administrator at the Lyle Pearson Company, where they built and maintained a fiber network between multiple dealerships and implemented a workflow automation system. From 1999 to 2019, they were the President of Customated, where they created a secure network and developed encrypted UDP streaming services. In 2019, they joined Retrolux as a Senior Software Engineer and VP Engineering, where they led a lean development team to the first profitable quarter and reduced infrastructure cost by 90%. In 2020, they became SVP Engineering at Safe Access, where they built a Rapid Response Covid-19 app in 3 months. Finally, in 2022, they joined the Nikola Motor Company as a Staff Engineer in Vehicle Services, where they work to mitigate supply chain issues and deliver on the promise of clean energy.

Brian Loomis attended Boise State University from 1989 to 1992, studying Engineering. In 2005, they attended Big Nerd Ranch for a Rails Bootcamp.
