Mark Blackwell

Mark Blackwell is an experienced executive and board member, currently serving as General Partner and Chief Operating Officer at Builders VC since January 2020, where the firm manages US$1B of assets under management, focusing on early-stage investments that integrate technology with innovative business models across various industries. In addition to this role, Mark holds positions on several boards, including Native Microbials, Inc., Performance Livestock Analytics, SafeAI, Inc., Tractor Zoom, and Foresight Commercial Insurance, among others. Mark's involvement in educational governance includes serving on the Board of Governors at the University of Calgary, chairing the Investment and Budget Committees, and holding the vice chair role for the Finance and Property Committee. Mark attained a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary and is a participant in The Venture Capital Executive Program at the University of California, Berkeley.
