SafeCare believes that everyone has the right to quality healthcare. But in resource-restricted settings, achieving higher levels of quality is challenging. That’s why we developed our unique approach: a combination of internationally accredited standards, an easy-to-follow and stepwise methodology, and an accessible digital platform. SafeCare enables healthcare facilities and other stakeholders to measure and certify quality, benchmark progress, and create interactive data insights that help drive more efficient and safer care. 

SafeCare is a formal initiative from PharmAccess, the Joint Commission International (JCI) and the Council for Health Service Accreditation of Southern Africa (COHSASA). In 2010, these organizations teamed up to develop quality standards that are solid, secure, and realistic for resource-restricted settings. And most importantly, they involve no compromise: SafeCare upholds the same quality standards as other international bodies.
