Ilan Rich has held a variety of positions in the data science field since 2015. In 2015, they worked as a Geriatric Researcher at Rhode Island Hospital, where they led an effort to validate five years of unsupervised data and collated outcomes by analyzing patient records, charts, and death records. Theirabstract was accepted for the American Geriatric Society annual conference. In 2016, they were a Statistical Consultant at Truth Initiative, where they applied maximum likelihood estimators and Markov Chains on a longitudinal dataset of nicotine and tobacco use among young adults. Ilan also provided statistical insight into the unknown transition practices of E-Cigarette users. In 2018, they were a Graduate Level Data Mining Teaching Assistant at The Johns Hopkins University. In 2019, they worked as a Solutions Architect, Associate Solutions Architect, and Analyst at PRECISIONxtract. Currently, they are a Data Science Team Lead and Solutions Data Architect at SafeGraph.
