Larissa Smit, MBA, has a diverse work experience in various leadership roles. Larissa is currently the Director of Strategy and Innovation at Safehaven since 2022. Previously, Larissa worked as the Director of Communications and Public Affairs at Trillium Health Partners from May 2021 to December 2021. Before that, they served as a Strategic Advisor at The Hospital for Sick Children from November 2020 to May 2021. Larissa has also held the position of Executive Director at Kids Health Alliance from September 2019 to October 2020. Larissa has experience in government settings as well, having worked as the Director of Health Policy at the Office of the Premier of Ontario from August 2018 to September 2019. Prior to that, Larissa was the Manager of Policy at the Ontario Real Estate Association from July 2017 to July 2018. Larissa has also worked at Tarion Warranty Corporation as the Manager of Stakeholder Relations from October 2014 to July 2017. Larissa began their career in the public sector as a Senior Policy Advisor and Policy Analyst at the Office of the Leader of the Official Opposition from May 2010 to July 2014.

Larissa Smit earned an Executive MBA from the Ivey Business School at Western University in 2022. Prior to this, Larissa completed an Honours BA in Political Science with a specialization in Public Administration at Brock University. Larissa also studied Political Science and Public Administration at Leiden University.
