Will Brown

Will Brown has a diverse work experience in the field of data engineering, data science, and research. Will currently works as a Data/ML Engineer at Safesite since May 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Data Scientist at TechConnect IT Solutions Pty Ltd from May 2018 to May 2022. Will also has experience as a Ph.D. researcher at Swinburne University of Technology, where they investigated the fundamental mechanisms of a novel technique for generating neural activity with laser light. Will also served as a Research Scientist at Victoria University and as a Research Contractor and Research and Development Intern at the Defence Science and Technology Organisation. Will's early career involved research and development internships at Swinburne University of Technology/Cochlear, focusing on the development and testing of optical fibre sensors for bionic ear implantation surgery. Overall, Will has demonstrated expertise in data science, research, and development in various industries.

Will Brown completed their education at Swinburne University of Technology. From 2005 to 2010, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Photonics. Later, from 2011 to 2017, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biophysics from the same university. Additionally, in August 2018, Will obtained the Amazon Web Services Solutions Architect Associate certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
