Dean Brown

Dean Brown is a CEO for growth companies who builds companies, products, and teams. They are the CEO of SafetyChain Software, where the digital plant management platform unites quality and production teams through plant-wide data, insights, and tools. Their career includes leading IPRO as CEO from 2018 to 2023 and co-founding Next U, Inc., where they served as CEO from 2013 to 2015 and which was acquired by Open Education. Earlier in their career, they held VP-level and senior product leadership roles at DACG (1994–2000), Trilogy (2000–2001), ACT, Inc. (2001–2006), Thomson NETg (2006–2007), and Pearson School Companies (2007–2013). They studied for a Ph.D., ABD at Texas A&M University from 1991 to 1994, earned an MA at the University of North Texas (1989–1991), and a BA at Texas Christian University (1985–1989).
