More than a decade ago, two pioneers — one in Aviation Survival, Survival Equipment Services (SES), and the other in Marine Survival, Sea Rescue Gear (SRG) — joined forces with a shared ambition: to develop a compact, commercially available, reliable, single-person liferaft. Their vision was driven by real-world experience and a deep commitment to safety for mariners and aviators.

Years of collaboration, testing, and refinement led to one unique single-person liferaft that can serve many purposes: The SOLO by SES, a highly compact, single-place liferaft, inflated by manually operated CO₂ and packed in the smallest handheld valise on today’s market. Suitable for all aviation environments. The SafetyRaft®, by PSJ Safety Control B.V., an adaptation of the SOLO liferaft introducing a nitrogen auto-inflation system, housed in a lightweight, compact backpack, designed for professionals in offshore, naval, rescue, and other extreme environments.

PSJ Safety Control B.V., headquartered in the Netherlands, has developed this variant — the SafetyRaft® — transforming the idea into a globally viable product through focused R&D, production oversight, and strategic rollout.

Whether for individual adventurers, frontline responders, maritime professionals, or aviation users, this partnership ensures that everyone has access to the right survival liferaft solution — when it matters most.

At PSJ Safety Control B.V., we’re proud to partner with SES and SRG to deliver world-class, life-saving equipment that meets the diverse demands of the global safety market.
