Abbas Ismail

Abbas Ismail is a skilled civil engineer with extensive experience in project management and construction oversight, currently serving as the Assistant Resident Engineer at the Los Angeles County Sanitation Districts since September 2024. Previously, Abbas held positions as a Project Manager at SafeworkCM, overseeing projects at Pierce College, and as a Healthcare Field Project Manager at Skanska, contributing to the construction of a new Patient Tower at Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center during the pandemic. Prior roles include Project Manager at Balfour Beatty US for K-12 school renovations, Assistant Project Manager at Lendlease for the Oceanwide Plaza Project, and Project Engineer at Clark Construction Group focused on quality control for the LAX Tom Bradley Terminal renovation. Abbas holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from California State University, Fullerton, and is currently enrolled in the Executive Leadership Program at Cornell University.
