Ian Bird has extensive experience in procurement and purchasing, currently serving as a Program Buyer at Safran Landing Systems since December 2016. Previously, Ian worked as a Contract Commodity Buyer in the aerospace sector as a self-employed consultant and held the position of Purchasing Manager at Ecovision Energy Solutions from January 2014 to January 2016. Ian also has a strong background in sales and market development as the Sales Manager at JTC Furniture Group and has held various roles in procurement management, including Procurement Vendor Manager at UNITE Group plc and Chief Buyer at Dowty Propellers. Ian's educational background includes attendance at Rednock School from 1973 to 1977.
