Simon Lazarus

Simon Lazarus, PhD, CEng, is an Engineering Manager at Safran since 2025. They previously served as an Engineering Team Lead at UTC Aerospace Systems from 2014 to 2025 and concurrently worked as a Qualification Engineer at CTG, part of UTC Aerospace Systems. Simon began their career as a Project Engineer at Crompton Technology Group Ltd from 2007 to 2010 and later worked as a Research Officer at Cranfield University from 2004 to 2006. Simon holds a PhD in Energy Absorption for Crashworthiness in Carbon Fibre Braided Composite Structures from Cranfield University and is currently pursuing an MSc in Composite Materials at Imperial College London.
