Michael O'Neal is a Process Development Engineer II at Saft since May 2022, collaborating with R&D and engineering teams to design can and pouch battery cells and ensuring production line readiness for manufacturing. Previously, Michael served as a Battery Cell Design Engineer Intern at Saft, contributing to similar design efforts. Between January and May 2022, Michael was an Engineering Co-Op at Volvo Group, focused on evaluating and testing parts for trucks and participating in the development of an all-electric truck while utilizing MATLAB for data analysis. Earlier experience includes roles as a Security Officer at Allied Universal and a Project Engineer Trainee at Milani Construction, where design plans were developed for a reconstruction project. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland's A. James Clark School of Engineering, completed in June 2023.
