Vanessa Armel has extensive experience in electrochemistry and materials research, currently serving as an Electrochemistry Engineer at Saft since April 2017. Prior to this role, Vanessa worked as a Process Development Engineer at CEA from October 2015 to March 2016, where innovative electrodes and polymer electrolytes were designed for high energy density lithium-ion micro-batteries. At the Institut Charles Gerhardt de Montpellier from July 2013 to September 2015, Vanessa developed materials for fuel cell applications and was involved in international collaborations, leading to significant achievements including a patent application. Earlier roles include research positions at Monash University focusing on conducting polymers and ionic liquids, as well as internships that provided foundational experience in material characterization. Vanessa holds a PhD from Monash University in solar cells and multiple degrees in materials science and engineering.
