Xilin Chen is a seasoned researcher in the field of battery technology, currently serving as a Senior Research Scientist at Saft since April 2016. Prior experience includes a role as a Scientist at XG Sciences, where development of high-capacity Si-graphene anodes for lithium-ion batteries was conducted. Xilin Chen contributed to advancements in silicon-boron carbide anode materials and investigated electrolyte additives while serving as a Post-doctoral Research Associate at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. Previous experience as a Faculty Research Associate at the University of Maryland involved developing stable high-capacity anodes and electro-deposition technology for porous silicon anode preparation. Xilin Chen holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor's degree in Materials Chemistry from the University of Science and Technology of China.
