Sr. Research Scientist at Saft

Yvonne Chen is a seasoned professional in the field of engineering and materials science, currently serving as a Senior Research Scientist at SAFT since October 2010, where Yvonne leads the development of new lithium-ion batteries and supports technical proposals. Prior to this role, Yvonne accumulated extensive experience at the University of Texas at Austin as a Research Engineering Associate, where Yvonne led the Systems and Technologies Integration Group on projects involving electrical power systems and lithium-ion cell testing. Yvonne's career milestones also include positions as an Engineering Consultant at Stream Technologies, Assistant Professor at NJIT, Member of Technical Staff at AT&T Bell Labs, Sr. Design Engineer at Singer-Kearfott, and Electrical Engineer at Eastman Kodak Company. Yvonne is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the University of Maryland, building upon a previous Ph.D. candidacy in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology.
