Ryan Hickey

Ryan Hickey serves as the Director of Legal Affairs at Sagard since September 2025. Prior to this role, Ryan was the Director of Legal at Polar Asset Management Partners Inc. from July 2017 to August 2025, where responsibilities included managing a team of lawyers, providing legal advice on investment funds and corporate matters, negotiating investment transactions and trading agreements, and coordinating with various teams on business initiatives. Ryan's legal career includes experience as Senior Legal Counsel and Legal Counsel at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and Affiliates, starting as an Associate in Corporate Finance. Educational qualifications comprise a JD/MBA from Queen's University, an exchange semester at Hong Kong University, an International Business Law Certificate from Herstmonceux Castle, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with a minor in Math from the University of Prince Edward Island.
