Ben Aung

Ben Aung serves as the EVP Chief Risk Officer at Sage since April 2018, where responsibilities encompass global cyber security, enterprise risk, internal controls, and governance related to data and AI, alongside business resilience and crisis management. Additionally, Ben has held the position of EVP Global Chief Information Security Officer at GALLOS Technologies since January 2024 and serves as an advisor for the National Technology Security Coalition since October 2019. Previously, as the Director of the Government Security Group at the Cabinet Office from May 2012 to April 2018, Ben was instrumental in establishing protective security for the UK Government. Earlier roles include Deputy UK Government Chief Security Officer and Senior Policy Advisor for Cyber Security at the National Archives, UK from February 2007 to July 2012, and various technical positions at GCHQ. Ben also worked as a freelance storyboard artist from September 2001 to September 2010. Education includes leadership training at Hult Ashridge Executive Education from 2017 to 2018.
