Alan Painter

Alan Painter, W4PLP, is a Senior Azure Cloud Principal Engineer at the U.S. Department of the Interior, a role they have held since 2022. Previously, Alan worked as a Senior .Net Engineer at SAIC and held various roles in technology, including a stint as a Program Manager at Techwood Solutions LLC and a founder of Techwood Farms LLC. Alan's early career also includes experience as a System Administrator and DBA with the U.S. Army Security Assistance Command. In addition to their professional achievements, Alan is an amateur radio operator, a honey bee farmer, and a cancer survivor. They are currently pursuing further education at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
