Derreck Barber

Derreck Barber is a Principal Systems Engineer at SAIC, where they develop mission-critical simulators for spacecraft flight software. They graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) with a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering in 2010. Derreck began their career at General Dynamics Electric Boat, contributing to nuclear submarine design, and later worked at various startups and companies, developing advanced propulsion systems and launch technologies. Their expertise includes designing 3D-printed spacecraft, precision electromechanical systems, and real-time dynamic simulators for NASA's OSAM-1 program.
