Jon Shumate is a Business Development Solutions Architect with SAIC, engaging in the complete lifecycle of design, integration, testing, and fielding of systems for specialized clients. A retired military officer, Jon has extensive experience in aviation, electronic warfare, and Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (ISR), as well as the Department of Defense's acquisition and deployment processes. Prior to joining SAIC in 2024, Jon served in various leadership roles within the United States Air Force, including Vice Wing Commander of the 55th Wing and Division Chief of Test and Training. They hold a Master of Engineering in Space Operations from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the United States Air Force Academy.
