Digital Engineer Principal at SAIC

Mark Payton, CSEP, PMP, is a highly experienced digital and systems engineer with a robust background in missile defense and space operations. Currently serving as Digital Engineer Principal at SAIC since July 2019, Mark has previously held key positions such as Principal Systems Engineer. At NORAD & USNORTHCOM, Mark led a bi-national instructor cadre and managed a comprehensive training course for a $1.8 billion global missile warning system from April 2016 to July 2019. Earlier roles include Deputy Director for Operations at the Missile Defense Agency, overseeing special technical operations and joint current operations, and Technology Branch Chief at Air Force Space Command, where Mark optimized integrated space control architectures. Educational qualifications include a Graduate Certificate in Systems Engineering from the University of Detroit Mercy, an MA in Leadership from Bellevue University, and a BS in Physics from the United States Air Force Academy.
