Olya Skulovich

Olya Skulovich is a Senior Research Scientist at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center/SAIC, specializing in innovative environmental data science and machine learning applications to tackle global climate challenges. Olya's current research focuses on transformers for time series prediction and ML emulators for land surface models. Previously, as a Ph.D. candidate at Columbia University, Olya developed a global consistent long-term soil moisture dataset and conducted projects on carbon cycle modeling and data assimilation. Olya also served as a lecturer and teaching assistant at various institutions, contributing to the field of environmental science through both research and education.
