Robert Tanner

Robert Tanner currently serves as the Director of Total Force Management at the Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific, where they lead human resources, organizational development, and training services for a workforce of over 5,000 employees. With a focus on workforce innovation, Tanner manages a multimillion-dollar budget and implements strategic initiatives to optimize talent management and align workforce capabilities with organizational goals. Previously, they held roles such as ISR Department Deputy for Operations, where they enhanced operational efficiency for over 680 professionals, and various project management positions across government and defense sectors. Tanner is also an author of "Memoirs of an Outlaw: Life in the Sandbox," reflecting on their experiences as an infantryman in Fallujah, Iraq. They hold a PhD in Information Science/Studies from the Naval Postgraduate School and an MBA from Georgian Court College.
