Zach Whetstone

Zach Whetstone is a Senior Scientist at SAIC, where they support the Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction Office at the Department of Homeland Security. With a PhD in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Michigan, Zach’s expertise includes radiation detection and active neutron interrogation, alongside extensive experience in managing modeling and simulation exercises. Previously, Zach served as a Nonproliferation Graduate Fellow at the National Nuclear Security Administration and held various internships at esteemed institutions such as Lawrence Livermore and Brookhaven National Laboratories. Throughout their career, Zach has demonstrated strong communication skills by translating complex technical analyses into clear presentations and reports.
