Daniel Yang joined SAIF in 2001 and is currently a Venture Partner with SAIF. Prior to SAIF, he worked at Merrill Lynch and Salomon Smith Barney at Investment Banking Division in Hong Kong from 1997 to 2000. In March 2000 he joined Softbank China Venture Capital as Director. He joined Softbank Asia Infrastructure Fund as one of the founding members in October 2001 and oversees the investment in the Greater China Region as Partner.
Mr. Yang graduated from Tsinghua University in 1995 with a B.E. in Computer Science and from University of Southern California, Elaine and Kenneth Leventhal School of Accounting in 1997 with a M.A. in Accounting. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Member of TEEC (Tsinghua Entrepreneur and Executive Club). He was awarded as Top 10 Venture Capitalist in 2007 (by Zero2IPO).
