David Johnston

David Johnston has over 25 years of experience in the software engineering industry. David began their career in 1992 as the Founder and CTO of Norwood, an offshore software development company based in Dublin. In 1994, they joined National Grid as an Architect and led projects such as "RIN" and "SAM". From 1996 to 1998, they worked as the Lead Architect for Putnam Investments and Academic Management Services. David then founded Owjo in 2008 and served as the CTO until 2012. David then worked as an Independent Consultant for Morpho before joining Fidelity Investments in 2015 as the Director of Engineering. In 2020, they became the Director of Engineering and Co-founder of Saifr.

David Johnston attended Christian Brothers College from 1972 to 1984, followed by University College Dublin from 1984 to 1987, where they obtained a B.SC in Computer Science & Physics.
