Jerrod "Scott" Allen is the current VP of Hardware Engineering at Saildrone and the former Head of XL Vehicle Systems at Anduril Industries. With over 28 years of underwater project experience, they are an experienced ocean technologist specializing in subsea robotic systems. Scott has held key roles in organizations such as Saab, Inc., BAE Systems, and Applied Research Laboratories, and has contributed to academia as an adjunct associate professor at The University of Texas at Austin. They earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin in 1997.
