Ross Beane

Co-Founder, Captain and Journey Coodinator at Sailing Collective

Ross Beane has over 10 years of work experience. From 2008 to 2011, they worked as a Casco Bay Caretaker for the Maine Island Trail Association, a Bike Mechanic and Rental Technician for Acadia Bike, and an Adventurer for Sula in the Sea of Cortez. From 2009 to 2010, they were a Direct Service Provider for Alternative Care Solutions and a Sailing Instructor for the Wooden Boat School. In 2011, they became a Trip Leader for Homer Wilderness Leaders. From 2012 to 2014, they were a Co-Founder and Board Member of Port City Makerspace and a Co-Founder of Surf Sauna. In 2011, they also became a Co-Founder, Captain, and Journey Coordinator for The Sailing Collective.

Ross Beane obtained a B.S. in Adventure Education from Green Mountain College between 2003 and 2007. In 2011, they attended Yavapai College and obtained an EMT in Emergency Medicine. Ross also obtained certifications from the NREMT, AZDHS, American Heart Association, PSIA (Professional Ski Instructors of America), Leave No Trace Center for Environmental Ethics, and PADI.
