Derrick Mink

Derrick Mink is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in data platforms and architecture. Currently serving as Principal Software Engineer at SailPoint since June 2018, Derrick has led the design of a self-service data platform and oversees multiple teams to ensure scalable solutions. Previous roles include Senior Staff Software Engineer at SailPoint, where Derrick created a unified data platform, and various positions at Valassis and Apollo Education Group, focusing on micro-services, data modeling, and predictive analytics. Derrick also founded OptiCompute LLC, offering cloud cost optimization consulting since January 2022. Derrick's career began as a Signal Support Supervisor in the US Army, managing complex communication networks. Derrick holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Washington.
