Tyler McDonnell is an experienced professional in the fields of artificial intelligence and machine learning, currently serving as the Head of AI, Engineering at SailPoint since June 2022. Previously, Tyler held various leadership roles at SparkCognition from September 2017 to July 2022, focusing on building machine learning organizations and advancing technologies such as automated machine learning and generative AI. Earlier experience includes positions at The University of Texas at Austin, where Tyler contributed to significant research in machine learning and information retrieval, and roles at Ketra, Inc., TasteBud, and other organizations, demonstrating expertise in real-time systems, data acquisition, and algorithm development. Tyler holds a Ph.D. and MS in Computer Science, as well as a BS in Electrical Engineering, all from The University of Texas at Austin.
