Chris Jacobs has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Chris is currently the Co-Founder of SailTies, a platform that allows sailors to capture and share their experiences. Prior to this, they worked as a Design Engineer at Facebook, where they focused on mobile prototypes. Chris also worked as a Product Designer at Cookpad Ltd, specializing in global recipe sharing. Chris has experience in tutorial video production at Facebook and as a User Experience Designer at Rockpool Digital, where they led UX research and prototyping for various clients. Chris also worked as a Junior Project Manager at Rockpool Digital, managing multiple projects simultaneously. Before that, they worked as a Graduate Engineer at WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff, focusing on technical work and stakeholder management. Chris was also an Engineering Leadership Advanced Award Holder at The Royal Academy of Engineering. Chris started their career as a Digital Consultant at Chris Jacobs Online, where they provided web design and consultancy services to clients. Chris also had roles as a Consultant and Intern at Movement Strategies, working on high profile projects and contributing to data analysis, marketing, and system creation.
Chris Jacobs obtained their Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Bristol, where they studied from 2009 to 2013. In 2016, they furthered their education by completing a User Experience Design program at General Assembly. Prior to that, from 2002 to 2009, Chris attended Altrincham Grammar School for Boys, where they completed their A Levels, focusing on Maths, Physics, Chemistry, and French.
